WiFi. What would I do without it? During my summer vacation in Greece, my mother-in-law's home had excellent WiFi. But for three days last week, we stayed at her sister's beach home, and I was unplugged the entire time--no Internet on the iPad, iPhone, Mac Book, or Nook! It was wonderful!

World Peace. My daughter created this map 17 years ago when she was in 6th grade. She was very proud of it, and I saved this prized possession, along with many of her test papers, reports, and medals. I presented the collection to her in a large plastic storage container when she moved to a different state 3 years ago. Fast forward to 9 months ago, when I was moving back to the US from the Netherlands and got a new job teaching Kindergarten. She still had the map, and asked if I'd like it for my classroom. "Positively," I responded, and hung it on a bulletin board along with the peace sign.
Signs for ice cream are everywhere in Greece. Supermarkets, beach cafes like the one above, and peripteros, the little kiosks, which sell just about anything, that are scattered throughout the country. Brings back memories of the ice cream truck that used to come through our neighborhood in the US. I have my favorites, what about you?
I love beaches. And not just Greek beaches. The one above is Melbourne Beach along the east coast of Florida in the USA. Beaches are so bold and beautiful. Yes, I'm stuck on the letter B, for today's Tech Tidbits Tuesday. B is for Beach continues my Alphabet Challenge (#twmtabcchallenge on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter)! Smartphones, digital cameras and tablets make it so easy to share photos!
New Year's bread in Greece. My resolution for 2015 was to start this blog, Travel with Mrs. T., and 9 months later, I'm still having so much fun! Today's Tech Tidbits Tuesday has links to my blog posts about trips during my 15-month residence in Europe!
Back in June, I shared with you my 20 favorite Instagram accounts. Today, I share 25 MORE!
You're a tourist, a traveller, a university student, or a new expat to the Netherlands and you want to take advantage of the awesome mass transit system. The OV-Chipkaart is the way to go!
Instamatic. Kodak. I was responding to a comment about my photos on one of my WOW Wednesday posts today, when I paused for a moment to remember the name of my first camera.
Later, I was opening boxes and bags of physical photos and came across a Kodak Picture CD and negatives from 2007! Talk about a flood of memories! Let's look at the 6 degrees of separation (AKA 6 steps!) from Instamatic to Instagram for today's Tech Tidbits Tuesday! Photos. Games. Blogging. I've combined the three in my Where Oh Where Wednesday series. I love creating them, and think they're great. But don't just take my word for it, listen to my readers!
Two. That's how many Instagram accounts I have. I started "Travel with Mrs. T." @travelwithmrst in January 2015 when I simultaneously launched all of the Social Media connected to and including this blog, "Travel with Mrs. T."--I truly had no clue what I was doing on Instagram!
Fast forward to July 2015. After 6 months, I thought I had a pretty good handle on what to do and not do on Instagram. On today's Tech Tidbits Tuesday, I'll give you my honest opinion about Instagram, as well as Followers on Instagram Free, and Repost & Regram for Instagram Free, AND the scoop on my 2nd account! |
