I've finished twice. I have the gold trophies to prove it (see above), but I do not feel successful. Why, you ask? Well, because Sarah Arrow's 30 Day Blogging Challenge is supposed to be completed in 30 successive days! I completed 30 days both times, hence the awards, but not successively. So, here I am starting Round 3 for today's Celebration Saturday!

Game time again, it's a Where Oh Where Wednesday. This photo reminds me of the game show, "Let's Make a Deal", where contestants had to choose a door and then a prize (or dud) was revealed. Well, today's UNESCO World Heritage Site is quite a prize, and can be found behind any of the three doors. Will you be able to guess what it is in 16 images or less?
I'm missing my children on this Throwback Thursday! There's my daughter in the middle walking toward one of the Miffy statues in Museumplein in Amsterdam during her visit 5 weeks ago. Lots of folks were enjoying the beautiful sunny day and the statues decorated by various artists. Each was a unique representation that started with the same base! They were all lined up, and try as I might, I could not get a people-less photo of all of them!
Germany. That's all I'm going to tell you for today's Where Oh Where Wednesday, other than that I've visited this city twice--once in April, and again this past weekend. So, if you've been following my blog posts here, or my Instagram account, you may know already without any other photos! But, I'm going to include lots of photos, because I enjoyed the old and the new, and the different views during my two brief afternoon trips. Take a guess at any time as you scroll down the photos. You'll find out the answer in the last photo--just look carefully!
Liebster. Sisterhood of the World Bloggers. BoB’s Top Travel Blogs. What a week! On Tuesday, I accepted Dave’s (from Daves Travel Pages) nomination for a Liebster Award, and just yesterday, Vicky (from Buddy The Traveling Monkey) nominated me for The Sisterhood of The World Bloggers Award! I love to travel, and have so much fun creating my blog posts!
Vicky--efharisto, dank je wel, merci, gracias, grazie, thanks! Untitled. That's the name of the reddish-orange sculpture in the middle of the photo above. I'd call it "Stretching Dancer," but that's just me! Georg Herold, the German sculptor, preferred Untitled for his 2015 piece currently on display in the Netherlands, as part of ARTZUID 2015 in the Zuid district of Amsterdam. I visited the sculpture route last week on a beautiful sunny day.
I love awards! Grammys, Tonys, Oscars—I stayed up from 2-6 a.m. in the Netherlands to watch the Academy Awards live on TV this year! On June 19th, Daves Travel Pages nominated ME for a Liebster Award. I was flattered. I haven’t been blogging very long, and appreciated the nod! He likened the award to a chain letter! Well, I am not breaking this one!
Dave--efharisto, dank je wel, merci, gracias, grazie, thanks! I still trust TripAdvisor! An article has been floating around Facebook about a fake restaurant, but the three restaurants in Amsterdam I chose to write reviews about today are all real--I promise!
One of the European countries I've visited over the past year! That's all the help I'm going to give you for today's Where Oh Where Wednesday! Hmm, could it be Belgium, or Germany, or Greece, or Italy, or the Netherlands. Oops, I just gave you some more help! Let's play the game!
I love the Instagram account @ihavethisthingwithfloors. You may recall it was one of 20 Terrific Instagram Accounts According to Mrs. T. I've been inspired to look down more on trips to appreciate the intricacy and artistry of mosaic and marble floors, as well as the patterns of cobblestones on streets. But the most awe-inspiring, soothing places I know are Greek beaches, so to celebrate 6 months of blogging (as of yesterday), I decided to launch a new account on Instagram, and page on Facebook today--I Have This Thing With Greek Beaches!
