Disney is renaming Cinderella's Castle as Elsa's Castle! Gotcha! This was a great April Fools' Day prank played by Disney World yesterday. I checked it out on Snopes just to make sure! I couldn't believe it when I first read the headline; after all, the Castle is the iconic symbol of the Magic Kingdom. The pic of it above is from my first trip to the Magic Kingdom in 1982, when it was the only Orlando Disney park. My friend and I drove to Orlando from Baltimore. We spent two long, exciting days at the park, and experienced just about every attraction. Come join me today as I travel back in time to Disney World!
The game for today's Where Oh Where Wednesday includes all four of the Disney World Parks. I bought these magnets years ago, and the Epcot picture is from the infamous parking mistake I described in Last Minute Travel Tips for Disney World. I need to get a new Studios one; the park is now called Disney's Hollywood Studios. Rumor has it the name is going to change again soon! You'll need all of the names in order to play the game, but I'll make it easier for you: MK=Magic Kingdom, EP=Epcot, HS=Hollywood Studios, and AK=Animal Kingdom. Now, let's play--20 pictures today!
