What is quiet? Is it the lack of sounds? Or, is it only the sounds that soothe? Dictionary.com includes the definitions: tranquil, to make tranquil, and tranquility--depending on whether you are using the adjective, verb, or noun. On my last afternoon on Skopelos, I avoided a long queue of sunbeds, and went for the quiet of a natural recliner on the slip of a beach on the right side of the port.
The day before, I explored another quiet beach to the left of the port, and found myself in a bit of a quandary. I had my fancy camera, and a fairly big beach bag and towel. Leaving my things where you see them in the photo above, I climbed among the rocks, and being inquisitive, wanted to get to the other side, right around the corner at the top of the image. But, the rocks slipped a few times and though I was able to catch my balance while I wasn't carrying anything, I was worried that I would drop everything into the water, or worse, hurt myself trying to prevent that from happening. So I quickly squashed my original idea, and just enjoyed the tranquility of my spot alone on this beach!

No, not Buckingham Palace, though I have a pic of that too, but it starts with B, and we're way beyond that letter in my Alphabet Challenge!
For today's Where Oh Where Wednesday, try to guess where we ate Queen's Chips. I'll give you a big hint--NOT Amsterdam, or anywhere else in the Netherlands!
I'll reveal the answer in tomorrow's post, so come back again for R is for Rabbit!
What words, that begin with the letter Q, do you think I should include for teachers?
