Now, my husband (below) was the only one of the four of us willing to get his feet wet. Even he admitted, it was 'chilly'!
1) Scheveningen, The Netherlands--64.8 degrees Fahrenheit/ 18.2 degrees Celsius
2) Athens, Greece--79.4 degrees Fahrenheit/ 26.3 degrees Celsius
3) Tampa, Florida--86.4 degrees/ 30.2 degrees Celsius
So now you know why I kept MY feet out of the water!
The next 4 photos document a kite surfer getting his kite in the air, running towards the water, entering the water, and surfing for a bit. I commented how I wouldn't be able to hold onto the kite, let alone maneuver through the water. He seemed to be having a hard time as well!
Remember, if you're in the Netherlands, head to Scheveningen. Less than an hour from our home in Utrecht by car, if you're staying in Amsterdam, you can reach Scheveningen in less than an hour and a half by train and then tram.
Where do you go for an afternoon of fun in the sun?
Let me know in a comment below!
