I love creating a challenging game, so Image #1 (left) probably won't help you very much. Remember the show, Name That Tune? Hardly anyone ever guessed correctly with only one note. I promise, they'll get easier. But on the subject of this photo, I'm really looking forward to spring; I love flowers in bloom. Since I'm currently living in the Netherlands, and this will be my first spring in the land of tulips, I thought these beautiful arrangements from a shopping area in today's U.S. city were quite appropriate.
Another game this week for Where Oh Where Wednesday! All photos are from the same city in the United States, and hopefully, by the last image, you'll be able to venture an accurate hypothesis. But don't wait until the last image; start guessing with Image #1! I dug into my archives for today's pics. They're from a wonderful trip in June 2011 with one of my best friends.

I liked last week's game so much, I decided to make another game for this week's Where Oh Where Wednesday. Grab a small piece of paper, or open up notes on your Smart phone, and number from 1-11, yes 11, not 10! There will be 11 images, not counting this silly one of me at the Design Museum in Gent. You have three choices for each image: Brugge, Brussels, or Gent. Let's see how many you can guess correctly. I'm going to give you some more time to play this game, so answers will be posted on Instagram on Thursday and on Facebook on Saturday. Let's get started!
This week for my Where Oh Where Wednesday, we're going to play a game! I've posted a series of images, each one bringing you closer to the answer to this week's question: Which museum? If you are able to guess it with this first image, bravo, you probably are one of my nine friends who accompanied me to this museum today! For this week's love theme, I had to post this beautifully created heart from... Today's Where Oh Where Wednesday is a photo from 1983, when I spent a week at a ski resort in the United States. Over 30 years and 40 lbs. ago, I used to be a pretty good skier. On the afternoon of this photo, I was determined not to fall, since I had taken my Pentax K1000 to the slopes with me for the day. Oh how I wish I still had the negative for this photo, since it is showing its age, and the stress of 10 moves. My love of photography began in 1980, when I took a class with my best friend during our senior year in college. I remember our professor telling us to take our cameras everywhere. I'm sure he never imagined cell phones, let alone ones with cameras. My Pentax has been replaced by a Canon EOS Rebel T2i, but I also take an occasional photo with my iPhone--like the above photo of a printed photo! Remember: Try to guess where this photo was taken, and then check Instagram, Twitter or Facebook to see if you are correct!
It's a "Where Oh Where Wednesday," and in keeping with this week's theme of transportation, my two images today showcase some highly used forms of transport in Europe. Try to guess where the pics were taken, then check on Instagram or Twitter to see if you're correct! Haven't joined those apps yet? Sign up, and follow me--remember, I'm @travelwithmrst! Check out the writing on the tram in the image on the left--SEF. Wonder what that stands for? My husband and I had an interesting conversation about how the unabbreviated name seemed too long, but I remarked how that name is such an appropriate one. We saw a volleyball game there, summer of 2004. Hope these hints are enough to help you guess where the pic was taken! But, can you guess what SEF stands for and then translate it? I'll have the answer on Twitter and Instagram! Welcome to the first Where Oh Where Wednesday! Each week I'll post at least one image (probably more) both here and on Instagram. The images are all mine, or if I'm in the picture, taken by someone with my camera! Here, I'll only post the image, and give you time to guess! On Instagram, I'll include a description of where and what! Teachers: Create an Instagram account for your professional use, follow me, and then project my images on a TV or ... |
