Well, today’s post includes some of those pictures from my son’s trip in December 2006, along with photos my husband and I took on our trip there in May 2015!
Now, remember, your job is to try and guess the name of the city before the photos run out! Let’s get started!
I had forgotten completely about my son's photos, and I know my husband had as well, so it is really fun to see how 8 years later, we took almost identical photos!
Stavros, I forgive your finger in your photo--you were taking your photos on a disposable film camera!
Poor Stavros. Not being able to see the photo you just took, provided us with about 6 photos almost identical to this one above.
Not sure which dome he was taking a photo of, but this one at right by my husband proves digital photography sure is amazing! Keep in mind too, that my husband is using his phone to take most of his photos!
What I found totally amazing is that my son took only 25 photos (I loved when the 24-exposure cameras gave you that bonus photo) and I took over 1,000, but he and I captured some of the same locations almost identically.
He had more luck eliminating those pesky people right in front of you in the photo!!
Have you guessed yet? Let's change locations a bit for some more hints!
Let's switch locations again! Have you made your final guess?
Despite different times of day, both my son and husband thought to capture the fountain on 'film'!
I know, you think you have the answer already! Bear with me, just a few more photos! I'm having a great time matching them up!
Did you make your guess?
Did you guess Rome, Italy?
Then, you're only partially correct!
Yep, some of the photos, including the fountain and the view from St. Peter's Basilica, and the maps and hallway in the Vatican Museum are actually Vatican City--an independent city-state!
How did you score now!
Sorry for tricking you! The title really should have been, WOWW: Guess Which Cities in Europe!
Hope you had fun! Come back tomorrow for my Throwback Thursday! I'm going to tell you about a project that reminded me of my post today!
Oh, and Stavros, don't feel bad about your finger in your photo from before! Your dad had a corner of his map in this photo at right!
If you've been to Rome and Vatican City, do you have some similar photos?
If you've never been to these beautiful cities before, do you want to go?
