Last week, when I returned to Amsterdam specifically for ARTZUID, I set out immediately for Museumplein, as the map on the sign there had indicated that all of the other sculptures were south of the pond! I decided to download the free ARTZUID App, advertised on the sign. While waiting for it to load, I examined the sign more closely and discovered that the art in the pond was actually #62. There was no info such as title or artist, so I was anxious to open the App. I was pleased to find that the App included a map, and details including artist, birthyear, birthplace, title of piece, and year of piece. |
Following are photos of all of the sculptures I saw last week. I have included the artist and official number for each of the sculptures today. Tomorrow, I'll reveal their titles on Instagram and Facebook. Let's get started and play, Name That Sculpture!
