Back to School. Last week's TBT, but since some students are having their first days this week, a little carry-over! These are my children in 1994 and '95 on their first days of school. This week's Throwback Thursday is all about re-enacting the past when re-visiting a place! Let's see what happens when my daughter re-visits her school in 2010! |

Pinocchio. If you know which country Geppetto carved him in, you’re one step closer to figuring out the answer to today’s WOWW--Where Oh Where Wednesday!
Instamatic. Kodak. I was responding to a comment about my photos on one of my WOW Wednesday posts today, when I paused for a moment to remember the name of my first camera.
Later, I was opening boxes and bags of physical photos and came across a Kodak Picture CD and negatives from 2007! Talk about a flood of memories! Let's look at the 6 degrees of separation (AKA 6 steps!) from Instamatic to Instagram for today's Tech Tidbits Tuesday! I love the Jim Croce song Time in a Bottle. You know the one, "But there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to...." Still don't recognize it? Well, I found a great compilation of the original and covers of Time in a Bottle on Second Hand Songs today.
Now that everyone is on the same page with the song, let's talk about how you can make the most of the time you have! I'm aging. That means one of the first things I need to do after riding in the car for almost 3 hours is find a restroom/toilet/loo/W.C.! When we arrived in Antwerp last Sunday, I immediately looked for a McDonald's. Why, you ask? Because you usually have to pay to use their restrooms in Europe, and therefore I don't feel pressured into buying anything! I can scurry in and stroll out! When I did come back outside and glance up, I saw the beautiful towers of Our Lady's Cathedral juxtaposed in between a Starbucks and the McDonald's--the old and the new!

Antwerp. Greece vs. Belgium National Teams friendly. Greece lost, 64-59. (Read about it in Belgium Out-Defend Greece for Second Win.) Nothing to celebrate, right? Dinner out with close relatives. Good food. Spectacular sunset. Wonderful evening at Balconi tou Aigaiou in June 2012. I wrote one of my first TripAdvisor posts for this restaurant, and hope to return again soon! For today's Feast On It Friday, I present the view that thrills!
When I returned to Baltimore, MD to spend Thanksgiving with my mother in 2010, I dragged my daughter along on a 'blast from the past' tour of my old home town. That's me in front of Govans Elementary, where I attended Kindergarten through 6th grade from 196_(double cough) to 197_(cough)! Today's Throwback Thursday is for everyone going 'back to school' this week.
Molenspel. Dutch for Mill Game. Today, I visited a quaint village in the Netherlands, and this game was in a cute museum showing all kinds of odds and ends depicting life a century ago in the village. Now, I want you to try and guess which village! If you've never been to the Netherlands, or know nothing about the beautiful country, you can still play, and just enjoy the photos! So, let's get started with today's Where Oh Where Wednesday!
Photos. Games. Blogging. I've combined the three in my Where Oh Where Wednesday series. I love creating them, and think they're great. But don't just take my word for it, listen to my readers!
